Leave it to New Orleans - the party capital of the world, to unite the craving for classic cars along with the desire to indulge in all the pleasures New Orleans has to offer. “And this is just the beginning,” says Pete Vicari, owner of the company producing the festival. “We expect to grow this event just like we do every other festival here. When we throw a party, we do it big down in New Orleans!”

Vicari Auction unveils the inaugural New Orleans Classic Auto Festival (NOCAF) to be held May 13-14, 2011. Sponsored by Trison Classics, this unique festival is held at the famous Mardi Gras World and will give attendees a dazzling view of elaborate parade floats upon entering.

Due to great response, the Car Auction has been extended to two days. Adjacent to Mardi Gras World, the auction will take place in a plantation style venue giving compliment to the classic cars crossing the block beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 13, and 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 14. General merchandise will prelude the cars at 10 am.

“The 2011 season will mark a ground breaking era for Vicari Auction”, says Jenae Crain, marketing director for Vicari Auction. “You will see more classic cars and more action on the block than ever before!”

The Mississippi River is the backdrop for “The Dream Collection” Auto Show, also held on Saturday, May 14, outside the Vicari Auction.
