It didn't take long before they were calling this the world's most expensive car crash!

A fleet of Ferraris traveling to Hiroshima, Japan, for an event were involved in a chain-reaction accident on Japan's Chugoku Expressway on Dec. 4. News reports indicated weather played a factor but one witness said the supercars were traveling well above the posted speed limit of 80 kph (50 mph). One car slid on wet pavement and the others followed. Fourteen cars in all were involved, and 10 people were treated for minor injuries.

Here's the part that makes luxury car lovers cringe: The damaged vehicles included eight Ferraris, a Lamborghini, three Mercedes Benz and two Toyotas. Media sources have suggested the total cost of the accident could run as high as $3.8 million.
