And the award for the swoopiest fenders on an old pickup truck goes to Brian of the new Vintage Pipes & Stripes show . . .
Actually, the Vintage Pipes & Stripes folks will be giving that pickup away at their soon-to-be-launched hot rod show near Old Cars Weekly headquarters. Old Cars is based in Waupaca County, Wisconsin and Vintage Pipes & Stripes will take place at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds in Weyauwega.
Billed as a “traditional rockabilly weekend” and a “family fun” event, the show is going to features lots of different old school rods, vintage camping, rockabilly bands and more. The show’s Website (www.vintagepipesstripes.com) has complete info about the new event.
Here’s some of what is listed on the Website: “We are striving to bring the spirit of the 50’s back! When you walk through the gates we want you to feel as if you stepped back in time We are offering over 40 acres of fun including: Children’s Activities, Food, Kustom Cars, Kustom Bikes, Beer, Live Bands, Pin-Up Contest, Swap Meet, Vintage Camping, '54 ruck Raffle to Support Cancer Research and Merchandise Vendors. $10 a day, 15 & under free. Reduced rate weekend passes available on Event Brite. The gates will open at noon on Friday and at 8 a.m. on Saturday.”
