The 2011 Atlantic City Classic Car Show & Auction will again stand true to its reputation as the largest indoor classic car event in the country. And its casino gaming destination simply represents icing on the cake.
Thousands of sellers and buyers of cars, as well as automotive and celebrity memorabilia, converge on the Convention Center for three action-packed days. The 750,000-square-foot venue that hosts the event will be home to almost 1,000 cars and 400 vendors, as well as the 60,000-plus car buffs that annually attend. This year’s event will be held Feb. 18-20.
Celebrities in the flesh and in the tin will also be a part of the event. From HBO’s award-winning series “Boardwalk Empire,” the chauffeur-driven 1921 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost limousine used in the TV production will be displayed. The limousine belongs to the series’ lead character, gangster kingpin “Nucky” Thompson.
MoPar afficionados will have a chance to meet renowned Chrysler Corp. historian Galen Govier, who will be on the exhibit floor to authenticate some of the important muscle car “metal” at the event and verify Chrysler automobile parts.
