Among the unique items on display is a very rare hard cover dealer album featuring all the 1953 models with a focus on the Skylark, Buick’s first foray into the sports car market. 1690 Skylark’s were produced and were sold to the Public at $5,000 each, quite a sum for 1953.

Buick Riviera’s 20th Anniversary, celebrated in 1983, is the subject of the second case. The Riviera was chosen as the Indianapolis 500 Pace car in 1983 and there is much material surrounding this event included in the display. There were 501 hardtop “copies” of the Pace Car produced for the Dealer network as well as 61 Parade car convertibles specially built for the event.

The Museum donated space to the Buick Heritage Alliance for the display while BigLots in Columbus, Oh., donated two display cases for the collection.

The AACA Museum is open daily from 9am to 5pm. For more information visit: www.aacamuseum.org/
