’56 Chevy Bel Air anniversary gift stolen

Car stolen from Missouri shop.

Don and Joyce Taylor were married in June 1957 and had a similar vehicle during their first years of marriage.

The couple’s son, Jerry Talyor, bought the car and had spent years restoring it. It was presented to his parents in 2007.

The red-and-white two-door hardtop was stolen from Taylor’s shop in Grandview on Oct. 2. It has a tan interior with a red Chevy “bow tie” embroidered in the back seat. There is a crack in the passenger side window and it has Illinois plates 135 609 AV.
