Listed in 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, Greenwich is unique, in that it is actually two concours, back-to-back. Saturday's Concours Americana is exclusively for American makes, while Sunday's Concours International is exclusively for imported marques.

The Greenwiched based 12-M Yacht Development Foundation will again have a modest display of former America's Cup 12-Meter yachts moored at the Delamar Hotel. Given good weather, they will engage in match racing during the weekend. Concours visitors will be able to view the yachts up close, and there will also be limited opportunities to sail on them. Classic motorcycles will also be on display.

Young and old will enjoy trying out the display of "Virtual GT" driving simulators in the Automobile Magazine/Motor Trend pavilion. There will be galleries of automotive art and demonstrations, as well as displays of the very latest new cars such as Mercedes-Benz, Corvette, Lexus, Land Rover, Hyundai, Bentley, Ferrari, Maserati, Aston Martin, and Smart.

  • Show Time: 10:00am to 5:00pm each day.
  • Admission: $30 per day or $45 for both days; children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

In addition, the Greenwich Concours will also be the site of a major auction by Bonhams of significant collectors' cars and automobilia from the collections of several prominent collectors.

Bonhams seventh annual auction at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance on June 1 will bring over one hundred exceptional, diverse and rare examples of important collector motorcars across the block, including: Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Bentley, Cadillac, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce, among many others, as well as an impressive selection of European, British and American sports cars.

Highlights include a stunning external bonnet latch, flat floor 1961 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8-Liter Roadster, among the first one hundred left-drive E-Types constructed, that enjoyed fame and prestige in the ownership of Jim Ladd, of the Lebanon, Pennsylvania dealership Ladd Motors for its accomplishments in Hill Climbs. Chassis number 785091 achieved a series of victories in 1962 and 1963 that made Jim Ladd the 1962 Pennsylvania Hillclimb Champion. Today the car, which has been in the Keystone State since new and underwent a careful restoration by marque specialists, shows beautifully in its original Opalescent Dark Green. It is expected to generate bidding in the $200,000-$250,000 range.

“Greenwich truly offers something for everyone this year,” Rupert Banner motorcar specialist remarked. “With about a dozen examples each of the highly desirable collector marques Jaguar and Mercedes-Benz alone, plus exceptional sports cars, and one-of-a-kind rarities like the 1966 Fitch Phoenix, which was the late, great John Fitch’s unique road-going prototype and a frequent sight at this Greenwich event where Mr. Fitch showed it several times, and is being bought to market for the first time by Bonhams.”

The Automobilia section of the auction begins at 9:30 am, and features automotive books, literature, art, photographs, garage supplies and signs, luggage, model and children’s cars, along with a section with boating models and art.
