One of the world’s premier muscle car collections will cross the auction block in Georgia as RM Auctions presents The Milton Robson Collection, a single-vendor sale to be held in Gainesville, Nov. 13.
The result of more than 25 years of careful acquisition by Robson, his collection features a series of low-production and high-specification Detroit muscle cars, along with a series of iconic 1950s and ’60s classics, and a selection of Henry Ford’s original flathead V-8s. A total of 55 vehicles from the collection, along with a range of memorabilia, will be offered without reserve.
This 1971 Pontiac GTO Judge 455 H.O. Convertible will be offered at auction without reserve, Saturday, Nov. 13.
“Milt Robson is a passionate car guy with an incredible eye for quality. His collection is known across the country by like-minded collectors and enthusiasts as it represents one of the most diverse cross sections of the most desirable American automobiles produced,” said Ian Kelleher of RM Auctions.
The headline attraction for the auction is a trio of Pontiac GTO “The Judge” convertibles, including a Starlight Black ’69 Ram Air IV, one of the most rare Pontiacs in existence. It leads a charge of 12 Pontiacs included in the sale. Also on offer is an all-original 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko/SC coupe, one of the most vaunted vehicles of the muscle era.
Additional sale highlights include: the one-of-a-kind supercharged 1953 Cadillac Eldorado convertible; ’60 Chrysler 300F convertible, the only factory four-speed, 400-hp convertible in existence and one of the most desirable “letter cars;” and a restored 1957 De Soto Adventurer convertible.
For those interested in participating, but unable to attend in person, absentee, telephone and Internet bidding options are available.
