KIKO Classic Cars ready for spring sale
Two-day auction at Cleveland I-X Center on March 18-19
CLEVELAND, Ohio – KIKO Classic Car Auctions will hold its 2nd Annual Spring Premier Classic Car & Memorabilia Auction at the Cleveland I-X Center, One I-X Center Dr., Cleveland, in conjunction with the 45th Annual Cleveland Auto Rama with memorabilia Friday, March 18, and classic vehicles Saturday, March 19.
On March 18 at 4 p.m., this year’s absolute auction will feature a full day of petroliana and automobile memorabilia from one man’s collection. Items up for auction on Friday will include signs, a Coca-Cola cooler, oilers, pedal cars, pumps and much more -- all from one man’s 50+ year collection. Bruce Peoples, classic car specialist and curator, said, “I have never seen so much memorabilia in one guy’s collection that took the time to restore it all. It’s pretty incredible, not like he collected it and threw it in a building. He took each piece and restored it… very unique.”
On March 19 at 1 p.m., the Premier Classic Cars & Motorcycles will be offered at absolute auction, with no reserve. One of the highlights of this auction includes an Internationally award-winning 1956 Ford Thunderbird that received the 2010 Gold Medallion Award at the CTCI International Convention. Peoples, who has spent his life working with classic cars, said, “When I first started my inspection of this car, I was amazed at its condition and was almost afraid to touch the vehicle. We are pleased to present this 1956 Ford Thunderbird at our auction.”
Other vehicles featured in the auction range from a one of a kind Orange County Chopper entitled “Heat of the Battle II”, which was custom made in commemoration of 9/11 to a 1959 Chevy Corvette Convertible to a very rare 1931 Ford Roadster Convertible.
This will be KIKO’s 2nd Annual Spring Premier Classic Car Auction at the I-X Center since the change to the Ohio Revised Code -- now enabling classic car owners a new option in selling their classic vehicles at large-scale classic car auctions like those seen on TV in other states. Heather Marks, marketing manager, stated, “The Classic Car Team is thrilled to be back at the I-X Center with the Auto Rama and happy that they can provide this premier option to buyers and sellers of classic vehicles.”
