Movie produces are looking for vehicles from 1930 to 1935 that have been restored to original condition including cars, buses, trucks and other vehicles to serve as background vehicles for use in movie about gangster John Dillinger.
Word on the street around Wisconsin is that Universal Studios is in the process of hunting up in the neighborhood of 60 classic cars and trucks for the upcoming Johnny Depp movie “Public Enemies.”
The movie, starring Depp as infamous gangster John Dillinger is reportedly going to be filmed later this year at various locations across the Badger state.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, while no official announcement has been made confirming that the movie will be shot in the state, Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton spent last week chauffeuring scouts around to various locations and the studio has reportedly applied for state tax credits.
Howard Bachach, who is in charge of locating vehicle for the movie, told Old Cars Weekly on Monday that he is looking for vehicles from 1930 to 1935 that have been restored to original condition including cars, buses, trucks, fire trucks and other vehicles to serve as background vehicles.
Owners will be paid if their cars are used in the filming of the movie.
As an added bonus, in some cases, owners may be allowed to drive their vehicles in the movie.
Production is expected to start in March and will run through June.
