Corvettes, Novas and more featured at Corvette Expo in Sevierville

Corvette Expo is more than Corvettes. To prove that point, Chevy IIs and Novas will co-star at the 2008 event.

Don’t let the name fool you — Corvette Expo is more than Corvettes. To prove that point, Chevy IIs and Novas will co-star at the 2008 event, to be held at the Sevierville Events Center in Sevierville, Tenn., Oct. 17-18. A $1,000 cash prize will be awarded to the most outstanding Nova entered.

Again, the event is sponsored by Volunteer Chevrolet in Sevierville and will feature HorsePower and HotRods with the nation’s finest collector and muscle cars on display.

Since Corvette is part of the event’s name, America’s favorite fiberglass sports car is not forgotten. A competition using NCRS-SE flight judging with several classes will also take place by a club chapter, so a field of outstanding Corvettes is sure to be seen.

One of the most popular events of Corvette Expo at the Sevierville venue is The Corvette Cruise, which begins at 6 p.m. Oct. 17. The Corvette Cruise leaves the reserved Corvette parking lot at the events center under police escort and cruises the foothills of the Smokies. The last two Cruises have seen more than 300 Corvettes traveling beautiful east Tennessee back roads.

In addition to the cruise and judged shows, the 31st annual Corvette Expo will feature an indoor and outdoor swap meet and a Thompson-Carr Collector Car Auction. The fall auction is open to all 25-year-old collector vehicles.

With beautiful cars in a beautiful setting, Corvette Expo is sure to be a Corvette lover’s dream.
