Moving towards the next 25 years with….The 26th Annual Classic Auto Show & Cruise-in

2007 marked the 25th Silver Anniversary of the Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show & Cruise-In and it was, undeniably, a silver-lined event, raising over $260,000 for arthritis research and programs and services.

2007 marked the 25th Silver Anniversary of the Arthritis Foundation Classic Auto Show & Cruise-In and it was, undeniably, a silver-lined event, raising over $260,000 for arthritis research and programs and services. On July 6th and 7th, the Dublin Metro Center was decorated with antique and vintage autos, street rods, customs, muscle era cars and antique trucks as over 3,000 fabulous cars from more than 20 states gathered to participate in Central Ohio’s premier car enthusiast event.

Among the features at this years festivities, a 30’ tall inflatable archway was the focal point of the show’s entrance as a tribute to the event’s generous sponsors, as well as an amazing collection of Indianapolis 500 Pace Cars and a special assortment of silver cars from local automobile dealer and car collector, Bob McDorman, to help commemorate the event’s 25th Anniversary. The event celebrated the Pontiac Firebird & Trans Am, the Mercury Cougar, and the Chevrolet Camaro as the 2007 Featured Marques, and what a showing each of these cars made! 12 Cougars stretched out in the sun on the show field during the two-day event while 19 Firebirds & Trans Ams revved their engines at passersby. And the Camaros had an impressive 53 examples of this great American classic car which was a remarkable addition to this milestone event.

By dusk on Friday’s Cruise-In, more than 2,000 sensational automobiles had cruised into Dublin Metro Center, filling it beyond capacity. 125 glistening six-foot tall trophies were presented to the “Best of the Best.” The eventful evening concluded with “Memories of Elvis”, a live concert presented by Mike Albert, a favorite local Elvis impersonator. Mike thrilled an audience of over 5,000 with an incredible performance!
