Sunday, August 3rd The World Famous Volo Auto Museum in Volo, Illinois, will celebrate Mr. Norm’s mighty Mopar and Shelby Showdown. Visitors to the event can meet the legendary Mr. Norm from Grand Spaulding Dodge. Mr. Norm became a “Super Dealer” of the 1960’s by taking stock muscle cars and modifying them to gain the ultimate engine performance. He capitalized on his image as the high performance king to become the highest volume Dodge dealer in the world in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, according to the muscle car’s “Dodge dart and Plymouth” edition. Phenomenally popular in that era, Mr. Norm cars remain exceptionally valued among collectors today. Anyone with a Mopar, Shelby or Cobra car is invited to participate in what is expected to be a premier event at Volo Auto Museum. Mr. Norm’s Mopar show is just one of the 24 special events at the Volo Auto Museum this season, continuing thru fall.

The actual 1970 blown Hemi Dodge charger driven by Vin Diesel in “The Fast & Furious” can be seen along with other famous cars like the Hell Raiser wheel-standing Dodge pickup and the original General Lee. If you tour the museum’s vault, you can see cars seldom seen by the public, like Princess Diana’s last car, Tom Cruise’s Porsches used in “Risky Business,” and Don Johnson’s Ferrari used in “Miami Vice.”

The event will also include food, music, a beer garden, and prizes.
The Volo Auto Museum will sell to about 400 of the world’s most beautiful cars. The museum is open year around Tuesday thru Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
