New exhibit at Automotive Hall of Fame celebrating African American accomplishments in the automotive world

Experience the Automotive Hall of Fame’s newest exhibit – “ACHIEVEMENT” opening February 25th and running through September.

Dearborn, Mich - The Automotive Hall of Fame has launched a multi-stage project featuring African American accomplishments and contributions to the automotive industry. Despite obstacles faced through racism and segregation, African Americans have had tremendous impact on the field. This project will preserve and widely share this history.

This initiative will highlight African Americans’ inventions, designs, engineering innovations, dealership ownership, and new leadership methods, etc., that changed their respective fields. It will increase the recognition of this historically underrepresented group and promote a richer and more diverse narrative of the history of the field. The first “episode” in this initiative opens at the Hall and online February 2022 and will run through September. Future episodes will launch roughly every six months, into 2025.
