RK Motors rocks collector car industry

Company is brainchild of two of the industry’s most successful innovators

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The collector car world is celebrating the formation of RK Motors -- the brainchild of two of the industry’s most successful innovators -- Robert Kauffman, co-owner of Michael Waltrip Racing and RK Collection, and Joseph M. Carroll, founder and president of Best of Show Automotive, LLC.

Overnight, RK Motors has become the nation’s premier restorer, re-seller and provider of classic, muscle and high-performance cars. According to Kauffman, RK Motors owner and chairman, “In 2007, Joe Carroll and I created two companies that have produced some of the nation’s best restored and most sought-after collectible cars. With the creation of RK Motors, we are now in a position to better serve our expanding global customer base.”

Carroll, RK Motors president and CEO, is very excited about what the future holds for RK Motors. “Rob and I have built our reputations on high quality inventory and customer satisfaction,” said Carroll. “Buyers throughout the world have purchased cars from us sight-unseen because they know our cars are represented honestly and accurately. We stand by every car we sell. Our consignment program brings liquidity to classic car owners and allows them to realize the vast majority of the proceeds from the sale of their car.”

Upon completion of this transition, RK Motors Charlotte will carry an inventory of 150-200 collector cars for sale. Sister company RK Motors Restoration Services, in Mentor, Ohio, will provide complete, full-service OEM restoration services. Two new facilities are currently under construction, including a new office/showroom facility for RK Motors Charlotte at 5527 Lakeview Road in Charlotte, N.C., and a new custom build facility located at 5523 Lakeview Road in Charlotte, NC.
