Practicing the Golden Rule has won four car clubs the coveted Eagle One Golden Rule Award for conducting the most outstanding community service program in their region during 2010.

The Grand Prize, for the most compassionate deed, was bestowed on the Colorado Springs Corvette Club, winner in the Western Region.

During the Chrismas holiday season, the Club donated baskets containing a complete Christmas dinner and enough food for a week that fed over 1,000 needy family members, primarily children.

In recognition of this achievment, Eagle One and associate sponsor Valvoline donated a total of $1,500 to a favorite charity of the club. A $500 donation was made to a favorite charity of the three other regional winners.

The above were: Chevy's Best, Midwest; Wheels of Times Street Rod Assn., East; South East Rods & Customs, South.

In addition to the cash donations, each club received a custom-designed award and a generous supply of Eagle One premium appearance care products and Valvoline oil for fund-raising events.

"Eagle One has been proud to recognize and reward car clubs for 18 years for the oustanding work they perform in their communities while actively engaged in the preservation of one of our country's greatest heritages, the automobile," said Rob McCarter, brand manager for Eagle One.

Eagle One is a member of the Valvoline family of brands.
